People may said it as a smelly shit thing but whoever taste it for the first time don't like it very much. It just like putting shit into your mouth.
Once ever you taste it for the first time, there will be the second, the third, the forth and.....you will be craving to have it again and again and again.
The most important thing about the fermented tofu is the sauce. Without the good sauce, it is nothing special but just the smelly tofu.
Ever heard that people said the smelliest the tofu is, then it is the most tastiest. It is true. Weird just like the cheese.
Really wonder where this famous fermented tofu originated from. Some people said it is originated in China. Some people said Japan.
Different country have their own taste and different serving. It may be serve with wine, chilly sauce, mustard...etc. Anyhow, still depending on the local taste.
Whoever, never try before, should take it for at least once in the lifetime. You will never regret.
